About

"I have discovered that most people have no one to talk to, no one, that is, who really wants to listen. When it does at last dawn on a man that you really want to hear about his business, the look that comes over his face is something to see."
-Walker Percy, The Moviegoer

I live in two different worlds. One driven by the enterprising spirit of Enlightenment values, public service, and un-checked progressivism, and the other distinguished by its immutability, strength in meekness, and a rebelliousness so radical that it is belligerently bemoaned as archaic. This blog serves as a forum for examining the nexus of these two worlds, presenting a Catholic perspective on issues related to the library and information professions, the common intellectual life, and living in the information age.
